The color scheme, identification markings, inscriptions, and the installation of special light and sound signals are regulated by the National Standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan 1863 “Vehicles, buses and motorcycles of operational and special services. Color schemes, identification markings, inscriptions, special light and sound signals. General requirements.”, approved by the order of the Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 15, 2020 No. 445-OD.
Vehicles of the State Protection Service, operational services of national security bodies, internal affairs bodies, the economic investigations service, the pre-trial investigation service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, military police units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Courier Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, subdivisions of the Forestry and Wildlife Committee of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, territorial subdivisions of the Fisheries Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and mobile groups of state revenue authorities may not have special color schemes, identification markings, or inscriptions.
Classification of vehicles as mobile rapid response groups of private security organizations, with the possibility of equipping them with special color schemes, identification markings, inscriptions, and light and sound signals, shall be carried out after obtaining supporting documents from the authorized body exercising state control over security activities.
Permission for the installation of special light and sound signals and special color schemes on vehicles escorting organized groups of cyclists shall be granted by internal affairs bodies by making the соответствing entry in the “Special notes” section of the vehicle registration certificate.
